Thanks for the quick reply, I'll look into that. But this still doesn't solve the problem that my emails aren't stored in ./Mailbox. Strangely, when I log in using IMP, the sent message is stored, but not in my Mailbox, but somewhere else, I don't know where. I haven't been able to locate the email, which should be stored somewhere. I don't think IMP stores the email in it's own database right?Niels Schenk wrote:But when I try to send an email through my imap mailbox it returns the error: invalid mailbox name. The strange thing is that the message does get delivered (externally), when my client tries to copy the message to my sent folder, it times out.
This sounds like a client configuration problem (I experienced a similar thing with Netscape Mail). Sounds like you need to check your client configuration to make sure your sent folder is configured correctly. Do you have multiple accounts set up in your client? In Netscape, I can configure an account to save sent mail locally or to the sent mail folder associated with the account I'm using to send mail. It appears that Netscape opens a separate connection to access the sent mail folder and it must be able to log in.
Thanks,
Niels
