Hello, I am using Courier 0.40.2 ESMTPD with LDAP authentication. The LDAP server is not in the same computer as ESMTP. Sometimes I got an authentication error from my mail client. This is what is written in the mail log file: Jan 29 14:14:50 bastion courieresmtpd: started,ip=[192.168.1.2] Jan 29 14:14:50 bastion courieresmtpd: error,relay=192.168.1.2,msg="535 Authentication failed.",cmd: AUTH LOGIN 192.168.1.2 is my ip address. Usually this happens once and when I retry everything goes fine. Rarely I have to retry twice. I increased LDAP_TIMEOUT from 5 to 10 but I think this is not the problem. I think the problem is with courieresmtpd.c having authuserbuf[0]==0 Any help/idea ? Tanks, Alberto.
