Everything is fine when sending mail locally using root or when using SMTP
authentication over SSL remotely.
But when sending mail locally using any account but root, I get the
following message:
sendmail: ERR: Permission denied
400 Unable to submit message - service temporarily unavailable.
I have checked the permissions of the sendmail binary and they are "--x" for
all. The unavailability has not been temporary, as suggested by the error
message :)
The permissions are wrong. The correct permissions are:
-r-s--x--x 1 root daemon 41342 Jan 26 10:41 sendmail
