Outlook Express 6

Incoming mail server is IMAP.

Remember password is on.  Under the Advanced tab - use secure is selected
changing the IMAP Server port to 993.  Under the IMAP tab Root Folder Path
is:  Inbox

On the server:

The only changes made to imapd are:

AUTHMODULES="authshadow authdaemon"

In imapd-ssl I changed IMAPDSSLSTART to equal YES.

Don't think I had to change anything else to get it to work.

Sorry meant Outlook Express - which is.
