I've got a existing LDAP+qmail setup that works just fine, and want to play with sqwebmail, so I installed the Debian (stable) package with courier to have a go at it. Everything seems to be setup correctly, I can connect just fine, permissions looks all fine but I keep on getting:
Mar 4 16:10:53 thehub sqwebmail: authdaemon: s_connect() failed: Permission denied
As soon as I try and authenticate with sqwebmail (yes its +s). It has no line following the above error with "can't change to bin" like the other reports I've seen mentioned. Can anybody shed any light on this?
Make sure authdaemond is running correctly. This indicates that either authdaemond was either not started as root; or the permissions on the authdaemon scratch directory are broken.
