I've just finished going over the information at
http://www.courier-mta.org/queue.html, and it provides 99% of what I need,
but I need that extra 1%. Maybe I'm missing something, and if I am, please
correct the error of my ways... thanks.

The control file records seem include f (from HELO data or other message
submission info), and s (which is the actual FROM address, but neither of
these lead me to WHO!

For a variety of processing, recover, billing and security reasons, I want
to know WHO sent the mail (i.e. the authenticated user, or the UID of the
unix user. Before I found the queue file format and started to work with
filters, I was considering parsing the logs which was a real headache as it
was never intended for the use I was giving it - but these queue files and
and the filters are GOLD for this...

My desire though would be to contribute this to the greater good (if that's
acceptable) or perhaps someone else has already done it? At any rate, I
don't want to duplicate record classes in the control file format or
override plans Sam may have for something that will make my efforts
incompatible.

Is something like this in the works?

If not, is there a prefered control file record identifier for the
authenticated user id or UID of the submitting user?

Then I can see about writing a patch.

If all is well, is anyone interested in the patch?

Thanks.
