I have some trouble with the total number of maximum connections in the IMAP module (courier package 0.40.1).
At the beginning in /etc/imapd following settings:
MAXDAEMONS=200 MAXPERIP=4
I noticed that there were on average 50 possible connections, then I boosted it to accommodate the need for about 100 connections at once to
MAXDAEMONS=1000 MAXPERIP=4
to get (hopefully) 250 connections at once.
But now there are 38-40 connections on the average and the users MS Outlook 2000 (mostly plain vanilla or service release 1) keep logging in and out.
Has anyone an idea why this application behaves so strange?
