At least I provided a simple and quick EXAMPLE that could quickly solve a problem until "the proper way" is sorted out when the right documentation is finally located.
There's a reason that auto-response systems (such as the classic "vacation" program, and the "holiday" program that I wrote more recently) are developed for this specific purpose. If you read one of them, you'll probably find yourself enlightened.
WTF, I post a message that could help the original poster initially solve a problem until he looks deeper, you criticize me for that effort and then provide no further information !

Not to step on your already bruised toes, Mark... 'cause I'm glad you wanted to help Michael with his problem (really)... but Gordon is right.
Providing problematic information is often worse than providing no information.
Helping someone 'quickly solve a problem until "the proper way" is sorted out' -- while nice of you in theory -- can really be more of a pain, after all is said and done, than the original problem was.
Not trying to single you out... 'cause I (and I'm sure others here) have made the same "helpful" mistake in the past. But regardless of that fact, your "WTF" attitude was the wrong way to go.
