Is there a page besides this one that tells me how to
reconfigure hosteddomains?

I have tried many different configurations for hosteddomains.
For example:

domain.com
sub.domain.com
--------
and just
--------
sub.domain.com
--------
Neither of these delivered the desired results.
Do I need to do something like this?

domain.com
.domain.com
sub.domain.com
--------
