A bofh file is not installed by default, because the default is to have nothing. As such, the bofh file does not get touched during an upgrade.

All the options in the bofh file are documented in the courier(8) man page.

make extra work on their part? Sadly, the home-grown distro I run
doesn't yet do this, as I am loathe to diverge from upstream whenever
possible.

In line with my request, what *are* the available options?

Work on improving the existing documentation?
