That's an argument for selective enforcement, not slavish enforcement.

By the way, it's ironic that Courier *doesn't* accept the [EMAIL PROTECTED]
notation, with all this frothing about the importance of standards!

And I'd remind you that in *this* case, there *is* an interpretation that
*is* in the RFC.  So this is not "non-compliance" vs "compliance", this is
"aggressive interpretation" vs "relaxed interpretation".

Plus, I repeat my question, this time to you:

What might an MX->CNAME mean if not "follow CNAME to A"?
