I am migrating from an older server, to a freshly built box. I have migrated my LDAP database where I am currently successfully running 0.41 on the old server and 0.44 on the new server. I am doing virtual domains and the only auth module I am using is authldap. Most config files are nearly identical, but I have certainly missed something..
I can successfully open my mailboxes with both POP and IMAP. However if I try to send a message to the server it returns:
Nov 12 22:44:08 sam courieresmtpd: error,relay=::ffff:127.0.0.1,from=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: 550 User unknown.
If I sniff packets I never see the esmtpd trying to even look in LDAP to see where the user’s maildir is. I am sure I am neglecting to include some sort of info here, but I am not sure what. I believe that authldaprc is correct or IMAP and POP wouldn’t work. I changed the defaultdelivery option to be the same LDAP entry as maildir with the new feature Sam added. With esmtpd not even trying to connect to ldap, I realize that its just some simple config issue somewhere.
Any advice, yelling, or help is appreciated. I have been searching the archives for 2 days and haven’t found the right thing yet.
TIA,
Chet Wisniewski
