Having got Courier moving mail, I want to add in anti-virus and spam scanning. I've read the docs/homepages for Amavis and SpamAssassin (and Clam) - but would like some recommendations. What version/variant of Amavis (-ng, -new, etc.) seems to play best with Courier? Is a Courier/Amavis/Clamd/SpamAssassin combo a reasonable way to go or are there better alternatives? Hidden gotchas?

Feel free to email directly and I'll summarize to the list.

I've avfilter+sophos running cause this solution make advantage of the courierfilter API.
The main advantage in using courierfilter API is that all mail is scanned, even if just relayed or dumb win32 client are sending infected mail
from your trusted network to outside.

I was unable to get clamscan running through perlfilter, it simply doesn't scan anything, browsing the archive shows that many
has this problem too...
