Hi,
I hope this query isn't off-topic here, but I'm wondering if anyone has
any comments or links comparing Courier & Cyrus as IMAP servers.
I am currently involved with making a choice over IMAP-servers, and
whilst I am very happy with my experiences with Courier, one of my
colleagues currently uses Cyrus for another installation. We are both
agnostic on the matter, and are happy to implement whichever server
meets our needs best, but neither of us has done enough research to be
able to say "let's use this one".
The fundamental idea is to implement some kind of groupware on this
server, ideally an exchange-alike system with Outlook / MAPI
integration, and I'd appreciate comments from anyone who's done
anything like this.
The IMAP server must play nice with LDAP, and should use maildirs. It
must also support the widest variety of email clients possible.
Please feel free to mail me off-list if you feel that this might turn
into an advocacy debate, but i would be very glad to hear any input.
Thanks for listening,
Stroller.
