I have installed Courier onto a Debian system, using the Debian packages that come with Sarge.

When I send a simple email, using the ESMTP part of Courier, it delivers that message into a mbox format file called Maildir in the user's home directory. If I create a proper maildir in the user's home directory first, and then I get a message:

[date] colinux courierlocal: id=xxxx, xxxx, xxxx, from=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,addr=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, maildir.open: ./Maildir: No such file or directory: No such file or directory
[date] colinux courierlocal: id=xxxx, xxxx, xxxx, from=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,addr=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, status: deferred

showing in /var/log/syslog

Any ideas what is going on here? I can give more details, but I'm not really sure what to share.

Thanks in advance.
