If I could just disable fam functionality, that would be fine, but there
doesn't appear to be a way to do that. I've searched on google and found
people with similar issues, but none of their solutions have worked for
me.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? If you need more information from me please ask.
As I understand it, when you build courier, if the configure script finds the fam development libraries, then fam support will be compiled in and courier will use it. If it doesn't find the libraries then it won't. I don't know of a way to "turn it off" (although there may be). So you either need to turn on fam or remove the fam development libs and then recompile courier.
