The reports are generated and dilivered to our courier with plain SMTP/25. The courier is a relay and will forward it do there host using SMTP/465.
From the sourceforge.net archive of this list I learned that courier doesn't talk SSL.
Courier can send mail using STARTTLS, but not SSL.
- Is this correct.
If it is can I proxy it through stunnel for example?
You can, if you can set it up properly.
- How do I enable the authentication part in courier? Is this possible at all? I mean authentication to there host! Not ours. Ours will use plain SMTP as it does now since the report generator doesn't understand anything else.
Initialize the esmtpauthclient configuration file.
