Must use different ip addresses. That's rooted in the ssl handshake: the client does not send the name of the (virtual) host before it receives the server's certificate.
Have multiple ip's, and certificate for each ip (using them for https). but cannot figure out how to make them work for courier imap and esmtp.
Save each certificate as $CERTFILE.aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd
