I connect to my ESMTP port from any IP address, even local, and I get no response for a EHLO command.
But email sent among TLS enabled MTAs gets perfectly to my courier setup.
What is happening?
ESMTP commands are terminated by a <CR><LF> sequence. If you're connecting manually, make sure that all your commands terminate with <CR> <LF>.
