Not sure this is a courier-imap problem but I've got to start some where. I've googled and been searching but have not found any thing. except http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/en_US/MailServerIMAPProblem System has been running wonderfully for quite a while. All of a sudden users are unable to login. Config files have not been touched/changed. After doing the login thing squirrelmail goes to lunch for about 30 sec then displays */SquirrelMail left frame ERROR: ERROR : Connection dropped by imap-server. Query: STATUS "INBOX" (MESSAGES UNSEEN RECENT) */Squirrelmail Right from ERROR: ERROR : Connection dropped by imap-server. Query: SELECT "INBOX" /var/log/maillog however dos NOT indicate any problems! May 13 13:47:51 server imapd: LOGIN, [EMAIL PROTECTED], ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], protocol=IMAP May 13 13:47:51 server imapd: LOGOUT, [EMAIL PROTECTED], ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], headers=0, body=0, time=0 ldap is working ok Did /etc/rc.d/init.d/courier-imap stop /etc/rc.d/init.d/courier-authlib stop /etc/rc.d/init.d/courier-imap start /etc/rc.d/init.d/courier-authlib start You can also do the services thing. as far as I can tell that should do it for restarting courier-imap.. Am I leaving anything out? I'm thinking a re-boot would fix this but I would really like to understand what is happening and how to deal with the problem having to re-boot. Any help greatly appreciated.
