Thats got it. Somewhere i read the that the root was INBOX/ and the namespace "Inbox." I have been scratching my head for weeks.

Yeah thunderbird has that option checked, its a dropdown box and i just select the account.

That is probably your problem. You need to set the root folder path to "INBOX." (INBOX followed by a dot).
