By default, Courier does not accept messages to unknown addresses. So
that should not be an issue.

Do you mean an unknown "to" header is delivered to postmaster?

In order to get this behavior, you would need to create an
[EMAIL PROTECTED] address and give it a .courier-default command specifying
delivery to postmaster.

It is also possible that what you are seeing is a double-bounce
message. This occurs when a message is accepted for an unknown
address. Delivery fails for this address and a bounce is generated to
the sender. If the sender's address is also bad, a double-bounce is
generated and sent to the postmaster.

The first thing to do is to make sure that you do not have an 'alias'
account created for your domain.
