Ok, I'll give that a try, but as I said earlier, I am building the
RPMs on the production server.  The user and group do exist (and did
exist prior to the first build).

I am also having problems with a gfs installation on this server (an
rpm upgrade didn't work properly), so I may do a bare metal reinstall
to get everything back to normal.

Regardless, if you have any other suggestions, please let me know.  I
have installed Courier on 5 servers now and I didn't do anything
different on this one as far as I know, so these problems are really
confusing me.
