How old is your Courier?  This was something that I fixed a while ago.

It looks like I'm only one release behind right now.  I'm running
Courier 0.53.1 (with Authlib 0.58).

There might be another occurence of this problem that I missed, but unless I can reproduce this myself it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

The only real problem here is that the error message is wrong. The connection was broken in any case, it's just that the error message text is not correct.
