I found no information online about this error, so I turn to this list...

This has been going on for a long time. My oldest logs date from a week
back and they already show this behavior.

In spite of this error, everything runs just fine. So from my point of
view it is not critical. But it is still strange and I would like to
understand it.

Memory occupation seems fine :
Mem: 905272k total, 816192k used, 89080k free, 125372k buffers
Swap: 1052248k total, 156976k used, 895272k free, 312952k cached
This server also does Apache, Mysql & co.

I run the following Courier packages from Debian :
- courier-authdaemon, courier-authlib, courier-authlib-ldap and
courier-authlib-userdb at version 0.58-4
- courier-base, courier-ldap, courier-maildrop, courier-pop,
courier-pop-ssl and courier-ssl at version 0.53.3-2
- courier-imap and courier-imap-ssl at version 4.1.1.20060

This server is a small one with just a dozen active users, mostly imap-ssl.

Does anybody know what this error is about ?

Don't hesitate to ask if you need more information about the system on
which I discovered it.
