Hello All, This morning I find problems with submitting messages to my server both from authenticated senders and from local processess.
I am running courier 0.54.0 on FreeBSD. My installation has clamcour installed for virus scanning, and spamassassin is invoked through maildrop. I use esmtp-msa on port 587 for authenticated message submission from my remote mail clients. This morning I am not being able to submit messages from my remote clients. I have restarted courier several times and checked the logs. I am find on courier restart the following in the logs: Jan 6 11:46:55 server courierd: SHUTDOWN: Stopping... A cron job that runs a php script on a set interval generated the following error message: 432 Mail filters temporarily unavailable. sendmail: Unable to submit message. I don't get any type of error when I use "mail" on the command line -- the message is accepted. I am several submit hung up processes as follows: courier 9335 0.0 0.6 3356 1628 p0 I 12:10PM 0:00.02 submit -src=authsmtp -auth=abid esmtp dns; [192.168.2.60] ([66.131.254.248]) The above is reflects the message submission that I was trying to do remotely. I get that it has something to do with the filter and I restarted courier and clamav and clamcour several times. Everything was working till this morning and I have changed any config files.
