Hello All, I am running Courier-0.54.0 on FreeBSD 6.1. I was using clamcour for virus checking but had problems and am switching to pythonfilter as recommended in this list.
This is the contents of pythonfilter.conf: clamav auto_whitelist whitelist whitelist_auth greylist I have installed Pythonfilter with the library. Upon starting the filter log files show: Jan 14 22:49:55 server courierfilter: Starting pythonfilter Jan 14 22:50:13 server courierfilter: Initialized the "clamavfilter" python filter Jan 14 22:50:13 server courierfilter: Initialized the "auto_whitelist" python filter Jan 14 22:50:13 server courierfilter: Initialized the "whitelist" python filter Jan 14 22:50:13 server courierfilter: Initialized the "whitelist_auth" python filter Jan 14 22:50:13 server courierfilter: Initialized the "greylist" python filter However, am unable to submit SMTP messages. The logfile shows: Jan 14 22:50:53 server courierfilter: Couldn't open smtpaccess.dat in /etc/courierCouldn't open smtpaccess.dat in /etc/courierINFO: Stopping pythonfilter This seems to indicate a problem with permissions. My courier/etc folder has mixed permissions, some are owned by the courier user and others are root. What should the ownerships be for the courier config folder?? Should all files be owned by courier:courier? Is there some other reason for the pythonfilter failure? All help is greatly appreciated.
