Hi List,

first of all: thanks for courier, until now it was a breeze to
configure. Anyway it seems like I'm doing something wrong.

I'm on gentoo linux with courier-0.52.3. After following some
configuration howtos on the gentoo wiki I was pretty sure that I made
the server relay only for my domains and wanted to test the
configuration by using the script at

telnet relay-test.mail-abuse.org

Then Test#8 **failed** with the following trace:

:Relay test: #Test 8
>>> mail from: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
<<< 250 Ok.
>>> rcpt to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
<<< 250 Ok.
>>> QUIT
<<< 221 Bye.

Where <openize.de> is a domain of mine and therefore pings to the
servers ip-address. Now I've shut down courier and would like to ask
here, if this is a known problem and if courier is indeed open for
relaying when using something like "name%adress.com@<local-domain>.
Even if this test is a false positive I would rather avoid this
positive result if some spammer or abuser is testing my server as an
open relay. What should I do?

Many thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Jan Prill
