Dear all,

I have one question about proxy pop/imap server and their management of
connections against the backend imap servers. I wonder why if these proxies
are capable of managaing a defined and limited pool of connections, instead
of opening one connection for each client toward the corresponding
imap-server. Am I allowed to configure this?
As far as I've seen the only one parameter is the number of MAXDAEMONS,
which only limits the number of simultaneous clients that IMAP Proxy Server
is allowed to server...

My objective is that if MAXDAEMONS are greater that
MAXCONNECTIONSPERIMAPSERVER, clients should await, a little bit, until any
connection from the pool becomes unused.

Has Courier this feature? And any other IMAP proxy software you could know
(of course, OpenSource is very appreciated)?

Thanks in advance.
