Dear all,   I have one question about proxy pop/imap server and their management of connections against the backend imap servers. I wonder why if these proxies are capable of managaing a defined and limited pool of connections, instead of opening one connection for each client toward the corresponding imap-server. Am I allowed to configure this?

No. The only thing you can set up, as far as the proxy servers are concerned, are MAXDAEMONS and MAXPERIP. On the backend servers, of course, MAXDAEMONS and MAXPERIP must be set high enough to accomodate all connections from the proxies.
