Please give more information about what "not accepting" means.

- is there some error message sent to the other side (realying denied, 
configuration error, user unknown, ...)
- is the TCP port 25 not open at all (netstat -nplt)
- what is written to the log files

Please confirm that you disabled ident-check in esmtpd config file.
