In the Postfix queue there are a lot of mails addressed to this person.Bob logs in and downloads all his mail emptying out his mailbox with a POP3 account. After about 30 minutes he downloads the same messages that he just downloaded and he phones me to find out…I log into his webmail account and see that there are more than 10 mails from the same person with the same time stamp on all his email. Some of them were there but only 5 times, some mails up to 20 times…My question is why will this happen? Is this a known courier bug? What can I do to fix this? A user over quota should get any messages sent to him whilst being over quota only once.
You are using the Courier POP3 server. You are using Postfix to deliver mail.
The Courier POP3 server has nothing to do with mail delivery. All it does is provide POP3 access to existing mail that was delivered to an existing mailbox. How mail got there is not something that the POP3 server is concerned with.
This problem, if any, has nothing to do with Courier.
