1) maildirmake
or
2) mkdir -p ${HOME}/Maildir/{tmp,cur,new}
also you should run one time maildirmake on /etc/skel so each new user
you create on the system will get automaticaly a working MAILDIR.
If you use only maildrop or procmail, you schould also create the file
"/etc/skel/.courier" to get things automagicaly running.

??? I am using procmail and courier sind nearly 10 years and it works
from scratch with all two, the play very nicely together.
