Hi Gordon,

I tried both

openssl s_client -connect smtp.whatever.com:25 -starttls smtp -crlf
and
openssl s_client -connect smtp.whatever.com:465 -crlf

Both are fast, no delays.

Sending mail with my TB (2.0.0.21) client is still slow, I'll try to simulate some tests with an authed user today.

kind regards,

Markus

I have to correct myself... Sending mail without SSL via telnet is as fast as expected, I mistyped the mail from address once and overlooked the error message sent by courier (nasty pasting SMTP commands into the telnet session thingy) :(

Try again with s_client:

openssl s_client -connect smtp.whatever.com:25 -starttls smtp -crlf
