OTOH, if those lines are placed /before/ Courier's "Received", filters 
can be smart enough to discern their origin.  (The only difficulty 
--if local filtering is enabled-- is to skip any "Received: from 
localhost", for that determination.)

The "X-" prefix itself is not needed.  That naming convention has been 
dropped in the passage from RFC 822 to RFC 2822.
