I want to set up a new mail server. I have installed Debian
stable (squeeze) with postfix, courier-imap, courier-imap-ssl and
sqwebmail. Since I do not have much local disk space I want the
mailboxes (to be exact it's Maildir) on a NAS Storage which is mounted
via NFS.

When I try to use webmail login works fine but when i try to open INBOX
the webbrowser says: "The page you are trying to view cannot be shown
because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression."
An on the server syslog logs:

sqwebmaild: Can't create cache file
|./tmp/1347453856.M913276P8271_sqwebmail-db.adm5|: No locks available

But when I have a look into this directory the file exists:
# ls -l ~doll/Maildir/tmp/
total 0
-rw------- 1 doll users 0 Sep 12 14:44 1347453856.M913276P8271_sqwebmail-db.adm5

This does not happen if the Maildir is on a local disk (different user).

I found somebody on this list had the same problem 8 years ago, but I
didnt find an answer in the archive.
