This has been happening on and off with iOS since 6.1 or thereabouts.

I don't know the reason, but the problem is common, and doesn't occur for
all users, just an unlucky few.

IIRC, the problem is prevalent, regardless of the IMAP server type.

I don't think this can be solved on the Courier IMAP side, but maybe I'm
wrong.

What we've found as a work-around, is to delete the account on the iPhone
and create it anew.

Note! If the user has local mail folders, don't delete it without backing
up first. :)
