Hi everyone, Time for a long overdue update on how our coworking site is going in Melbourne, Australia.
Way back in August we applied for a grant from the city council here in Melbourne to help fitout the space. By December we still didn't have an answer and we went ahead and opened our doors. After a few people starting joining up (thanks guys for being the first to sign up) we made time for a launch/opening/Christmas party. As luck would have it, the morning of the party we got a phone call confirming our grant had been approved. This has taken the pressure off for us to really focus on making the space look and work even better. I have put some good photos of our progress over at Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ A timeline for far for OpenHub - Coworking in Melbourne May - Developed the idea to open a coworking site in Melbourne July - Started looking at properties and gathering interest August - Applied for a grant for fitout costs September - Ran an information night October - Signed the lease on a space and started the fitout November - Opened and signed up our first members December - Had our launch party and got grant approval --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group.
