just yesterday i was telling wayne, my partner in coworking crime, about this discussion. we're both *really* picky about our music and about volume, but neither of us want a space with silence either, so this is something we'll have to take into heavy consideration. and then in a completely different context, someone posted to twitter yesterday that a local italian restaurant plays 'learning to speak italian' in the mens washroom, and i immediately thought of this thread. haha! that would be awesome. we could play a different language each month at a relatively low volume, and we'd all pick up a few words subliminally. but on a more serious note, i'd also suggest a talk radio station, like a news station or something like cbc talk radio or bbc radio 4, or even a wide selection of podcasts (screened for appropriateness for your space, of course). r. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group.
