Hi, all! It's time I unlurk, too. I'm Peter Kaminski, community tech maven / CTO at Dreamfish in San Francisco. I was previously co-founder and CTO at Socialtext, where we had the Palo Alto coworking center. I'm a technologist and entrepreneur; my passion is helping people connect with each other and with their inner selves in ways that have heretofore been hard.
I'm a big believer in things like the wiki way, BarCamps, free software, and of course, coworking. I'm also a big believer in people; I like it best when technology helps people be themselves and connect with others; I don't like it when technology gets in the way or when it seems like the tech is more important than people. Dreamfish is building services and tools to help coworkers and coworking centers work better, and work *together* better. I hope this will be the beginning of lots of mutual benefit, as Dreamfish grows up, I hope we get lots of help and advice from the coworking community, and vice versa, that the coworking community gets a lot from Dreamfish. We think we're generally going to be partnering with coworking centers, not setting them up ourselves. However, to get our prototyping going, we found some great space in the Mission in San Francisco, where we work, and where we'll be offering coworking space as well.
