There's a really interesting article in Wired about the evolution of Office Space designs and how they change the tone of how people work.
The final piece in the series is the "Networking" era, and I think it reflects strongly what we're trying to accomplish with coworking. http://www.wired.com/culture/design/magazine/17-04/pl_design Food for thought when designing your layouts and looking at spaces. Also worth noting, when we rearranged to take better advantage of a "pod" layout at the beginning of this year, we went out of our way to mix up the flex desks with full time desks. Essentially, the goal was to combat "sitting at a table alone" syndrome because frankly, if I wanted to do that, I could stay at home. The response has been wildly positive and our new office is going to be an evolution of that model. -Alex P.S.
