Hey folks, another question related to our expansion (yea!)...

Reminder: We're opening another location in Kingston (NY), 45 minutes
up the Hudson River. The goal is to connect these two somewhat similar-
profile towns in the Hudson Valley, growing our community and our
impact.

I use MailChimp for our BEAHIVE Bzzz mailing list. The question: Do we
create a separate list for the new Kingston location or segment the
original list into two groups: Beacon and Kingston.

I definitely want to distinguish them in some form. While people will
get similar info in a monthly newsletter, event info will obviously be
different -- and I don't want folks around Beacon to get info on
events in Kingston if they never plan to head up that way and vice-
versa (unless they choose to get both, which is conceivable).

MailChimp generally recommends to segment lists into groups, but my
concern is that when signing up, folks may overlook checking a group
(Beacon and/or Kingston). In that case they wouldn't get any
communique unless something went out non-segmented (which would be
rare).

Thoughts? Thanks...

scott.
