My name is Mike from Leicester in the UK. I'm a telecoms/network
engineer and I've been familiar with the concept of collaborative
spaces for a while*, but only recently found a label to describe the
concept.

I have been looking around the local areas for a while and although
incubators and managed spaces are fairly common none seem to take the
step beyond and encourage collaboration as part of their primary
objectives.

I've spoke with a few people over the last year or so, and many are
eager to, if not jump on-board straight away, at least learn more
about how it could work for them.

If there are any other people within the Midlands area then I would be
happy to discuss things further with them. I don't think that such a
venue can turn a sizable profit without being very innovative, so I am
not afraid of competitors; far from it. I would rather jump on board
with another local project with similar goals than try to compete for
the same people at two separate venues.
