opinion :)

I think like with any space it all comes down to location and price.
We weren't looking for a ground-floor space but happened to land on
one that had a good deal and thought having a walk-by space could only
be a plus.

Alex - I think you're looking at this wrong; the point is not for
people to walk in from the street and immediately start coworking
(you're right, that never happens). The point is for people to walk in
because they're curious and then spread the word or join later when
they need the space. We've gotten quite a few members from walk-bys
and we're not on a busy pedestrian corridor.

Another thing to consider is events - both event organizers and
attendees always tell us how much they appreciate that the space is so
easy to locate.

On the negative side you need to consider security concerns, street
noise and the fact that you can't always control who walks in (if you
know anything about San Francisco, that means you should expect to
shoo away a crazy or two :)
