Hi Ryan, I recently had to install a system for our place, and I contacted a local "alarm" company. They quoted me $3600 for one door (including software and mag lock) for a card system and $1000 for a keypad which allows up to 50 codes but no software. I picked the latter and so far so good.
I'm interested in hearing the homegrown solutions, since I'm already wired, changing systems shouldn't be too hard at this point.
