Hi all, My name is Marc Pardy and I graduated from UCLA about 8 months ago. I was recently hired by a family friend who owns commercial space in Glendale to come up with some creative ways to change the space. We got to doing some thinking, and came to the conclusion that we wanted an interactive social space where people could come to work, collaborate, and be part of a network. Something that was flexible in terms of time and served the mobile worker.
I thought we were being completely original until I stumbled upon the concept of coworking. "Oh no, someone took our idea already!" I thought initially. Then, I discovered the coworking wiki. My dismay quickly changed to delight at seeing that there is a well-established online community of individuals who advance this concept and offer sage wisdom :) So, I present myself before you, eager to learn and turn our ambition of having a coworking space into a reality. We are in the planning stages as we will not be able to renovate the space until January. However, we obviously want to get the ball rolling and find out how to do coworking right. We are throwing around many different ideas about what to put in our space and how to design it, and I will post some of them soon in order to get some feedback. Any advice that anyone offers will be humbly appreciated! Cheers, Marc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group.
