Each coworking space and location have unique marketing approaches.
None of us have large marketing or advertising budget.   We don't have
it figured out, but here is want seems to be working.  Nancy (who is
co-managing) is a great advocate and champion of coworking in
Durango.

Some basics:  Design (or have it done) a good logo & graphics.
Create a copy platform.  Develop a marketing plan.   We are
positioning as "affordable workspace" and "no hassle office
space"....then helping our members understand coworking.

1)  Tours and free days:   Get folks into your coworking space to
experience it!  We use "free day days" to help people understand and
"get into" DurangoSpace.
2) A really good web site.   We use Word Press.   We had a
professional webmaster help set it up to start.  Now we can update our
selves.   Connect to social media, blog and be engaged online.
3)  On social media, we have a Twitter account, and Facebook account.
4)  As for online directories, we are in a couple of them (I think we
are on Loosecubes, DeskMag).   Not sure how these are working for us.
5)  Signage:   We are using an "A-frame" sign out front of
DurangoSpace.   And a new sign is coming.   Plus some graphics inside
and out.
6)  Get out in the community and "talk up" your coworking space.
7)  Create an initial press release, and get it to the media,
especially the business news report (if there is one at local paper).
8) We operated for 90 days, and then had a formal open house.  Used
"evite" to send out invitations and had 70 people show up.
9)  Have fun!   Coworking is very interesting, and people are
interested in the new way(s) to work.  Capitalize on that.
