Hey folks, I've been so busy of late with various projects that I haven't been very engaged in the list. Apologies.
I've also forgotten to do the customary notice of our anniversary — we opened the doors to our first space in Beacon, NY, in May '09 (we now have two and are exploring more in the Hudson Valley). As I've been saying, we're still opening our doors after two years in "the worst recession since the Great Depression"! As have many of you. Yay us! Anyway, we're having a party to celebrate, this Saturday. It's an easy train ride from Grand Central, and it's during Beacon's popular Second Saturday (http://beaconarts.org/second-saturday/). Beacon is a known art town, with the world-famous Dia:Beacon attracting artists to live and then the creatives that follow them and of course the professionals that follow them. Some realtor types call this NoBro, North Brooklyn. (The New York Times has called Beacon the Hudson Valley’s most promising hot spot for contemporary art.) When we have big parties like this, we incorporate a fundraiser into the festivities — this time for our foodie friends at Beacon's Common Ground Farm. Let me know if you're coming, so I can say hi.
