Well Folks, us here at Frontal Lobe are right smack dab in the middle of this!! We have had somewhat of a slow start, but things are picking up slowly. I must say that I knew all along that I needed to build the community before the space, but you can easily get caught up in it all. So we rushed forward to get our space open with all the great energy around us and the concept of a coworking space coming to our small town! Everyone was on board and thought the idea was just perfect...then you open the doors. The feeling of deflation was somewhat overwhelming at times. The good thing like Jacob stated is that we came prepared financially for this and it was never ruled out of the plan. Really the private office space that we thought would fill up quickly is the part struggling the most, maybe we got a coworking identity crisis going on. Well, although we didn't follow the advice given it is still comforting we weren't the only ones that crashed and burned through the beginning. I just have faith that with the hard work I am putting in that we will have an active and vibrant coworking community in the near future!
