In my experience *Slack, HipChat, Asana* and *Glip *are useful tools to chat, video call, and message within your team. They are more professional than the regular social media groups or online discussion boards. *Bisner *(https://www.bisner.com/) which is our development, also has *direct messaging & group chat. *It supports commenting, liking and sharing in a *feed *similar to what you are used to in social media. It offers *workspaces *that help to keep more complex conversations (e.g. with files, notes, tasks, multiple people) very simple and organized.
